Product Description:
HID conversion kit converts your standard halogen lighting to high intensity discharge format for increased lighting performance and extended bulb life.  All vehicles can be upgraded to HID from factory halogen systems.  HID conversion kits include bulbs, ballasts, a wire harness, install hardware, and instructions. Please check our bulb application guide to look up your vehicle equipped bulb sizes.
Installation Time:
Install time will vary depending on the vehicle with most installs taking just 15-30 minutes to complete.  This kit uses a simple 2 wire hookup to the vehicle battery with equipped pre-wired relay harness and ballast connectors.  Simply plug the supplied harness into the factory headlight socket, connect the HID bulb to the ballast harness, and connect the power and ground harness to the vehicle battery and you are ready to enjoy the benefits of improved lighting during night time driving.

Can your ballast do this?

Here is our ballast operating underwater to visually show the level of waterproofing built into our kits.

Our HID conversion ballasts are all injected with a soft rubber-like material to ensure resistance from the elements and to prevent the internal electronics from shaking loose due to off road conditions.

Not only are our kits waterproof, they are engineered to closely match your factory bulb dimensions. This ensures the new beam pattern for your HID lights follow the current beam pattern.

Here is how a xenon / hid system can help your vehicle:

  * Xenon lights create 3 times more light than halogen bulbs.
* Xenon lights use 35 watts vs 55 watt halogen bulbs.
* Xenon lights last 10x longer.

How do they do it? Simple, HID bulbs are simply designed using a different technology to produce the light. Instead of a fine piece of wire filament, the light comes from a glass chamber of gas with no filament. Thus, road bumps and shock cannot damage the lamp.

When the bulb receives the amplified power from the ballast, it energizes the gas in the bulb creating a white / blue light output. This light can be sustained on only 35 watts of power and is entirely waterproof since the gas is in a glass chamber. The light color output can be adjusted by the mixture of gas within the glass chamber and is rated in Kelvin (K) / color temperature. Many people believe the color temperature dictates the amount of light a bulb emits. This is completely incorrect. The color temperature indicates the color of the light and darker colored lights are harder to see at night than brighter colored lights. For example, compare the white light of a football stadium to a black light tube in a night club - they're both emitting light, just different colored light.

Installing our HID Conversion Kits

Our HID conversion kits are simple and easy to install.

Lay out the components and find a good location in your engine bay to mount your ballasts. Be sure you adjust the included wires to easily reach both ballasts and in turn both bulbs. Once you identify your mounting locations, mount them securely with the included zip ties.

Unplug the factory wires and remove the stock halogen bulbs from your headlight housings. Now connect one of the factory plugs to the turn on wire for the relay. The factory plug closest to the battery often works best and will allow you to daisy chain the second ballast to your other headlight.

Run your wires along the perimeter of your engine bay around from one headlight to the other. Once you have laid out your wires, connect your ballasts and carefully plug the new bulbs into the headlight housing. It should go in the same way the old one came out. Once securely fastened into place; plug the wires from the ballast into the bulb.

Now connect the red power wire to your battery and turn on your new HID headlights!

Bulb Color Guide
Color Temperature: 3000k
Lumen output: 3200 lumens
Purpose: 3000k bulbs are traditionally used in fog light applications and emit a bright yellow output to enhance visibility in snow, rain, and foggy weather conditions.
Color Temperature: 4300k
Lumen output: 3200 lumens
Purpose: 4300k bulbs are traditionally used in headlight applications but can be used as auxiliary lights in fog light applications. The 4300k color temperature matches the white color temperature in vehicles that come with factory HID systems.
Special note: 4300k bulbs emit the maximum light output possible from HID type bulbs. Higher color temperatures emit fewer lumens.
Color Temperature: 5000k
Lumen output: 3000 lumens
Purpose: 5000k bulbs are traditionally used in headlight applications but can be used as auxiliary lights in fog light applications. The 5000k color temperature produces an LED-like white color and comparatively makes the 4300k color temperature look slightly yellow.
Special note: 5000k bulbs emit roughly the same amount of visible light as the 4300k bulbs. Higher color temperatures emit fewer lumens.
Color Temperature: 6000k
Lumen output: 2800 lumens
Purpose: 6000k bulbs are traditionally used in headlight applications but can be used as auxiliary lights in fog light applications.
Special note: While any HID bulb will emit 2-3 times the lumens a halogen bulb emits, higher color temperature bulbs emit fewer lumens than lower color temperatures. A 6000k bulb will emit roughly 12% less light than a 4300k bulb.
Color Temperature: 8000k
Lumen output: 2500 lumens
Purpose: 8000k bulbs are traditionally used in headlight applications but can be used as auxiliary lights in fog light applications.
Special note: While any HID bulb will emit 2-3 times the lumens a halogen bulb emits, higher color temperature bulbs emit fewer lumens than lower color temperatures. A 8000k bulb will emit roughly 10% fewer lumens than a 6000k bulb and roughly 20% fewer lumens than a 4300k bulb.

Disclaimer: All HID conversion kits, no matter the source, are not DOT approved if installed outside of the factory. Moreover, in the U.S, this is not street legal for use on public roads. As a result, we officially endorse the kit for exhibition and off-road use and will only sell the kit to be used for these purposes. We are not responsible for buyers who violate the terms of sale. They will assume all responsibilities for any unauthorized or unintended use other than exhibition or off-road use.
